Vice President for Public Safety Search
Temple University seeks a collaborative, experienced and community-centered leader to serve as its next vice president for public safety. This critically important role will lead the university’s Department of Public Safety, which includes the Temple University Police Department, emergency communications, security services, emergency management and preparedness, campus safety technology, community engagement and related support functions.
At a dynamic urban research university in the heart of Philadelphia, the vice president will play a central role in advancing a comprehensive approach to safety, preparedness and trust across Temple’s campuses and surrounding communities. The successful candidate will bring strong operational experience, sound judgment, a commitment to transparency and accountability, and the ability to build meaningful partnerships with students, faculty, staff, neighbors, city agencies and other key stakeholders.
