About Campus Operations
Campus Operations supports the people, places and systems that keep Temple University moving forward. Across every campus, our teams work behind the scenes and on the ground to create safe, welcoming, efficient and well-maintained environments where students, faculty, staff, patients, visitors and neighbors can live, learn, work and connect.
From maintaining buildings and grounds to managing transportation, parking, emergency preparedness, environmental health and safety, real estate, sustainability and long-term campus development, Campus Operations plays a vital role in shaping the daily Temple experience.
Our work is rooted in service, stewardship and collaboration. We partner across the university to support Temple’s mission, care for its physical environment and plan for a campus that is vibrant, inclusive, resilient and ready for the future.
Spotlight: Building Connections
Campus Operations is also helping lead Temple’s next chapter through Building Connections, the university’s campus development plan. The plan envisions the physical environment needed to support Forward with Purpose and strengthen the ways people, places, programs and communities connect across Temple.
Building Connections focuses on creating campus spaces that are more welcoming, accessible, vibrant and responsive to the needs of students, faculty, staff, visitors and neighbors. Through this work, Campus Operations helps guide long-term planning, development and investment in the university’s built environment, supporting academic excellence, student success, community engagement and a stronger sense of place.
The plan reflects a shared vision for a campus that not only serves Temple today, but also anticipates the needs of the future. It is rooted in connection: physical connections across campus, programmatic connections that support learning and discovery, community connections with North Philadelphia and relationship-building across the university.
