To start, Temple will fund “significant greening” around the entrance to the under-construction Caroline Kimmel Pavilion for Arts and Communication, he said. More green work is planned at Burk Mansion at Broad and Oxford, which Temple owns, as development occurs there, he said.

The gift, announced during Temple President John Fry's inauguration, will help to fund Temple’s new Klein College of Media and Communication building and Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts.

During his speech, Fry announced an historic $27.5 million gift to the university for the establishment of a new home for the Lew Klein College of Media and Communication.
