The Caroline Kimmel Pavilion for Arts and Communication

The Caroline Kimmel Pavilion for Arts and Communication will be the new home for two of Temple University’s hallmark programs—Klein College of Media and Communication and the Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts. These nationally recognized institutions have outgrown their outdated spaces, limiting their ability to provide the world-class education for which they are known.

Temple is building a state-of-the-art, transformative facility on the west side of North Broad Street. The pavilion will house Klein College, Temple Student Media, the School of Theater, Film and Media Arts, and Temple University Opera Theater. More than a building, it will be a dynamic space that fosters creativity, collaboration and connection—with one another and our North Philadelphia neighbors.

We’re not just building walls, we’re building futures.

As plans for the Caroline Kimmel Pavilion continue to evolve, check back often for updates and new renderings in our photo gallery.

This is a pathbreaking project both for Temple and North Philadelphia. This new, state-of-the-art facility will provide resources and opportunities that will prepare a more agile and adaptable workforce of future journalists, communicators and performing artists. It is also an opportunity for us to further our engagement with the North Philadelphia community in a way that we have not done before.
