This page provides information on virtual training sessions conducted by the Environmental Health & Radiation Safety Department (EHRS) at Temple University.

Upcoming Virtual Training Sessions

Initial Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) Training

  • Who Must Attend: Individuals working with or exposed to human blood, body fluids, human cell lines, tissue cultures, lentivirus, or animals injected with HIV, Hepatitis B, or Hepatitis C.

  • How to Register

    • All participants must have Temple credentials before beginning registration. Use your Temple AccessNet (e.g. jsmith@temple.edu) or Temple Health System e-mail (e.g. jsmith@tuhs.temple.edu)
    • Do not use personal or non-Temple e-mails - your registration will be canceled.
    • If you've never used Temple Zoom, please log in at temple.zoom.us before training day to activate your account.

Virtual Attendance & Engagement Policy (BBP ONLY)

To ensure a high-quality, compliant training experience:

  • Login Early: Check in by 10:45 AM Eastern to confirm video/audio.
  • No Late Entry: Zoom room will lock at the 11 AM start time.
  • Participation Required: You will be promoted to panelist for visual and verbal interaction.
  • Set Your Space: Choose a quiet location with a stable internet connection.
    • Recommended speeds: 8 Mpbs download/5 Mbps upload
    • Check your speed: speedtest.net

Post-Test Requirement (BBP ONLY)

  • Score 75% or higher on the post-test (due within 48 hours).
  • Failing the first attempt requires retaking the course.

 

Chemical Inventory Training

  • Who Should Attend: Every chemical storage area (lab, shop, etc.) must have an inventory in the EHRS Management System. At least one person from each chemical storage area must attend training.
  • Upcoming Dates:
    • Wednesday, June 4, 2025 - 1 PM to 2 PM
    • Monday, June 16, 2025 - 1 PM to 2 PM
    • Thursday, June 26, 2025 - 10 AM to 11 AM
  • How to Register:
