This page provides information on virtual training sessions conducted by the Environmental Health & Radiation Safety Department (EHRS) at Temple University.

Upcoming Virtual Training Sessions

Initial Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) Training

  • Who Must Attend: Individuals working with or exposed to human blood, body fluids, human cell lines, tissue cultures, lentivirus, or animals injected with HIV, Hepatitis B, or Hepatitis C.

Virtual Attendance & Engagement Policy (Initial Bloodborne Pathogens Training Only)

To support a smooth and compliant training experience, please review the following participation requirements:

  • Timely Arrival: The Zoom session opens at 10:45 AM Eastern to allow time for participants to be promoted to panelist (details below). The session locks at 11:00 AM sharp. Late arrivals will not be admitted.
  • Engagement Protocol:
    • Camera and microphone are required for this interactive training.
    • All participants will receive a promote to panelist request upon entry. This step is required to enable visual and verbal interaction during the training.
    • You must click “Join as Panelist” to remain in the session. Declining or failing to respond will result in removal.
  • Technical Requirements:
    • Choose a quiet space with minimal distractions.
    • Use a stable internet connection (recommend: 8 Mbps down/5 Mbps up).
    • Test your speed at speedtest.net.
    • wired connection is strongly recommended for reliability.

Post-Test Requirement (Initial Bloodborne Pathogens Training Only)

  • A minimum score of 75% is required on the post-test.
  • The post-test must be completed within 48 hours of the session.
  • If not passed on the first attempt, the entire course must be retaken.

Reminder: Full participation is essential for accurate attendance tracking, certification, and compliance with EHRS training standards.

 

Chemical Inventory Training

  • Who Should Attend: Every chemical storage area (lab, shop, etc.) must have an inventory in the EHRS Management System. At least one person from each chemical storage area must attend training.
  • Upcoming Dates:

      • Thursday, July 17, 2025 - 1 PM to 2 PM
      • Wednesday, June 23, 2025 - 10 AM to 11 AM
  • How to Register:
