Environmental Health and Radiation Safety (EHRS) has developed a robust program for the management of chemical waste generated by University operations. The purpose of the program is to protect the safety of students, employees and visitors protect the environment and to comply with federal, state and local regulations.  The information below is intended to provide laboratory personnel with basic guidance on how to properly dispose of waste commonly generated by laboratories.

Chemical Waste Management Manual

This online manual is a written plan to address how the University manages all chemical waste (hazardous and non-hazardous) generated from university laboratories, support services and operations to ensure disposal is done in compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations.
